He was predeceased by: his father John Wesley Gryder; his son Christopher Ashley Brown; and his sister Hazel Jeanette Gryder Crider. He is survived by: his mother Doris Aileen Snow Gryder; his wife Margarette "Maggie" McCoy Gryder; his son David Wesley Gryder (Renee); his grandchildren, William Brandon Brown (Tiffany), Kendall Paige Gryder and Madison Elizabeth Gryder; his sisters, Mary Wilson (Johnny), Barbara Ann Millsaps (Rick) and Doris Sams (Charlie); and his brother-in-law Hoke Crider.
