He was predeceased by: his mother Barbara Parks Sparks of Kernersville, N. C.; and his parents-in-law, Dennis Gryder and Barbara Gryder. He is survived by: his father Jack Church Sparks; his wife Kelly Sparks; his sons, Dylan Sparks and Alan Sparks (Tavia); his grandchildren, Noah Sparks, Sean Sparks and Tiara Sparks; his great grandchild Alaiya Sparks; and his brother-in-law Mark Gryder. He is also survived by many extended family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to Mountain Valley Hospice, 945 Zephyr Road, Dobson, N.C. 27017, or to the Alzheimer's Association, 4600 Park Road, Suite 250, Charlotte, N.C. 28209.
