He is survived by: his daughters, Juanita Sharpe (Demond) of Statesville and Melissa Thomas of Mt. Holly, NC; his brothers, Jimmy Steele of Harmony and Dallas Steele (Irene) of Harmony; his sisters-in-law, Mary Lois Steele of Statesville, Dorothy Steele of Statesville, Beatrice Dalton of Harmony and Sandra Houston of Harmony; his daughter-in-law Wanda Steele of Statesville; his grandchildren, Tyaysia Sharpe of Mooresville, NC, Whitney Steele of Mooresville, NC, Cedric Steele, II of Statesville, Ahmad Stevenson of Statesville and Tyrell Steele (Kimberlee) of Houston; and his great grandchildren, AJ Stevenson, Kylee Steele of Houston, Blaizen Boler of Mooresville, Bryce Steele of Houston and Takalyn Stevenson of Statesville, NC. He is also survived by cousins, nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, March 14th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Rutledge and Bigham Mortuary (603 S Center St, Statesville, NC 28677). A funeral service was held on Friday, March 14th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Friday, March 14th 2025 at 6:45 PM.
