He was predeceased by: his father John J.; his wife Nellie Savage of Sumner; his siblings, Frances Odie Ree Goldman, Aberlene Taylor and Robert L. Taylor; and his stepgrandson J. J. Harrelson.
He is survived by: his children, Charles Taylor, Jr. of Statesville and Debra Harrelson (Mike) of Columbus, Georgia; his grandson Jake Harrelson of Columbus, Georgia; and his stepgranddaughter Kasey Harrelson Lyttle (Dean).
