He was predeceased by: his parent Charlie Henry; his wife Mary Kathleen Kilby; and his sisters, Gaye Almond, Pauline Fortner, Annie Bell Fortner, Hexie Minton, Edith Rudisill and Marie Kilby.
He is survived by: his daughter Melissa McKinney (Art) of Statesville; and his grandchildren, Madison Moss (Bailey) of Pittsboro, Ben McKinney of Mooresville and Abigail McKinney of Statesville. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
