Carolyn Sue Shives Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carolyn Sue Shives of Statesville, North Carolina, who passed away on October 6, 2023, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Hugh Vestal Lanier and Ruth Cash Lanier; her husband Jimmy O'Neil Shives; her brother Harold Lanier; and her daughter-in-law Darlene Shives.
She is survived by: her children, Terry O. Shives, Debbie Shives Earnest (Junior) and Donna Shives Haithcox (David); her grandchildren, Brian Cloer, Krystal Allen (Daniel), Amy Johnson (Brandon), Bradley Gibson (Kristy), Devin Earnest, Sarah Earnest, Leanne Earnest and Cody Pennell; her sisters, Phyllis Lanier Plyler and Martha Lanier Lynch; and her pet Jax. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Iredell County or Bible Baptist Church.
