He was predeceased by: his parents, Archie A. McAlister and Evelyn Covington McAlister; and his siblings, Alfred P. McAlister, Charlie M. McAlister and Mildred E. Moore.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy Lee Clarke McAlister; his children, Natalie H. Carter (Joey), Renéé Russell (Daniel) and Michael McAlister (Annette); his siblings, Milton McAlister, Melvin McAlister (Brenda) and Joyce Rogers; his brother-in-law Jimmy Moore; his aunt Nancy; and his uncle Jimmy Covington. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 7 step grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, October 15th 2024 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Beulah Heights Wesleyan Church (108 Emmanuel Rd, Troutman, NC 28166). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, October 15th 2024 at 12:30 PM at the same location.
