He was predeceased by: his parents, Ben Wilhelm and Juanita Wilhelm; his brother Joe "Buddy" Wilhelm; his niece Jennifer Wilhelm; his nephew Tommy Beach; and his siblings-in-law, Fred, Myrtle Harmon, Steve, Kaye Harmon, Gary Harmon and Ernie Beach.
He is survived by: his wife Linda H. Wilhelm; his daughters, Amy Wilhelm (Mark Beaver) and Emily Lambert (Doug); his grandchildren, Ashley Lambert, Jeremy Lambert, Alex Cook and Tyler Lambert; his great grandchildren, Aleeah and Colesin; and his sister Lisa Galliher (Daniel).
In lieu of flowers, Benny requested that donations be made to American Legion Post 65, 2446 Salisbury Hwy, Statesville NC 28677, so that his legacy can carry on.
