She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul Turner and Betty Ann Carpenter Turner; her niece La Keisha Parks; her brother Terry Wayne Turner; and her brother-in-law Johnie Ratcliff Sr..
She is survived by: her children, Derrick Turner (Tonekia "Nikki") of Greensboro and Toni Turner Martin (Kenny); her siblings, Larry Turner (Betty) of Charlotte, Robin Turner (Joann) of Charlotte, Kamau Waalee of Statesville, Allen Lewis Turner of Statesville and Paulette Ratcliff of Statesville; her grandchildren, Brittany Kelley, Brandon Martin, Chase Martin, Brandi Turner-Kelley of Derrick, Kelan Turner, Zentavious Turner, Monzarick Banks and Jahru Bogans; and her great grandchildren, Taraji Scisney, Chase Turner-Kelley, Maddison Caulder, Brent Kelley, Jaiveon Bogans and Amari Turner-Kelley.
The lying in state was held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Rutledge and Bigham Funeral Home (603 S Center St, Statesville, NC 28677). Visitation was held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Piedmont, Inc. (1424 Rickert St, Statesville, NC 28677). A funeral service was held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 6:30 PM.
