She was predeceased by: her parents, James Monroe Sneed and Margie Rosette Champion Sneed; her husband William Sanderson Higgins; and her brothers, James Sneed and Charles David Sneed.
She is survived by: her children, Melissa Higgins Tompkins (Tim), Carol Higgins Cory (Mark) and Reverend William S. Higgins (Stacey); her grandchildren, Amanda Tompkins, Holly Tomkins, Marie Higgins Salazar, Annaliese Higgins, Julina Higgins Metz and Benjamin Cory; and her great grandchildren, Carter Hinceman, Gemma Hinceman and Audrey Tompkins-Horne.
