With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Arlene Mahaffey Johnson of Statesville, North Carolina, who passed away on December 24, 2024 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Virgil John Mahaffey and Stella Ladd Mahaffey; her husband Rev. Robert Junior Johnson; and her siblings, Billy Mahaffey, Arzy Mahaffey, Larry Mahaffey, Curtis Mahaffey, Ruth Mason, Noel Johnston, Ruby Cates and Maxine Shoemaker (Louise Parks).
She is survived by: her daughter Karen Reitzel (Duane); her grandchildren, Sacha Sanniota and Torie Finney (Stephen); her great grandchildren, Paige Sanniota, Damon Sanniota, Leo Sanniota, Emma Finney, Winston Finney and Matthias Finney; her sister Evelyn Edwards; and her stepgrandchildren, Crystal Lorenson, Jason McCollum and Trevor Reitzel. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 at 1:00 PM.
