She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Pinkey Mayberry and Laruna Sharpe Mayberry; her stepmother Quay E. Mayberry; and her siblings, Hattie Mozie Parker, Hazel Geneva Mayberry Parker, Jerry Mayberry and Charles Edward Mayberry.
She is survived by: her husband David Leroy Stokes; her children, Tina Delaine Stokes, Melissa Fay Stokes, Fonda Annette Stokes, Jennifer Damita Stokes, Henry Hank Ellis and Kenneth Bennett (Deborah); her siblings, Walter Cecil Mayberry (Valerie), Melvin Espy Mayberry, Leon Harvey Mayberry (Claudette), Gwendolyn Reena Mayberry, Clara Denise Mayberry and Wanda Kay Mayberry; her in-laws, Emily Mayberry, Vehester Dalton and Ted Stokes; her grandchildren, Latoya Stokes, Autumn Ramsey, Symone Stokes and Kordell Millsaps; and her great grandchildren, McKenzie Stokes, Kazyah Miller, Memphis Cauthen and Stephon Heller. She is also survived by nieces, special nephews, cousins, other relatives, church family, neighbors and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the Zion Chapel AME Zion Church (81 Zion Chapel Rd, Hiddenite, NC 28636). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 at the Zion Chapel AME Zion Church Cemetery (81 Zion Chapel Rd, Hiddenite, NC 28636).
