She was predeceased by: her father Rev. Darrell Wayne VunCannon; and her husband Frankie "Hawk" James Owens. She is survived by: her mother Hazel Ryder VunCannon; her son Brian Lewis (Jennifer) of South Carolina; her stepsons, Joseph Dale Jones (Tracey), Jason Wayne Jones (Dale) and Joshua James Jones (Lindsey); her siblings, Keith VunCannon (Nancy) of Hendersonville, Marty VunCannon, Danny VunCannon (Diane) of Troy and Remelle Childers (Dale) of Rockingham; and her grandchildren, Sophia Lewis, Brennen Lewis, Isaiah Jones, Elijah Jones, Kensley Jones, Damien Clark, Layanna Jones, Honor Jones and Saylor Jones.
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Bumgarner Family Funeral Service (620 Albemarle Rd, Troy, NC 27371). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Lomax Memorial Baptist Church (691 Correll Rd, Troy, NC 27371). A burial was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 at the Lomax Memorial Baptist Church Cemetery (691 Correll Rd, Troy, NC 27371).
