She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Wade Hamilton and Hattie Saunders Hamilton; her husband Joe Maness; her son-in-law Jim Vuncannon; and her siblings, James Hamilton, Vernon Hamilton, Dinah Thomas, Lorene Stutts and Martha Hamilton.
She is survived by: her children, Dianne Maness Vuncannon of Star, NC and Eugene Maness, Jr.; her wife Cathy Maness of Star; her grandchildren, Amy Vuncannon, Jimmy Vuncannon (Amy), Danny Vuncannon (Andrea), Sarah Smith, Joseph Maness and Andrea Ingram (Mike); her great grandchildren, Emily, Timothy, Rachel, Jacob Vuncannon, Tyler Smith, Layla Smith, Lacey Maness, Grant Ingram and Gavin Ingram; her sister Frances Russell of Troy; and also Eddie Maness (Donna) of Star.
