He is survived by: his wife Judith Tyndall Owens; his children, Kimbery Best of Wilson, Traci Kirkpatric of Highland, Texas and Jason M. Owens of Dallas, Georgia; his stepson Greg Brown of Zebulon; and his sister Connie High of Wilson. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren.
