She was predeceased by: her husbands, Joseph D. Gardner and Joe; and her parents, James Durwood and Dorothy Cunningham Matthews. She is survived by: her sons, Bill Gardner (Emily) of Stantonsburg and Gary Gardner (Wendy) of Wilson; her grandchildren, Paige Belty (Donovan), Molly, Trinity and Bailey Gardner; and her great grandchild Ellianna Belty.
A funeral service was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 6:45 PM at the Wilson Memorial Service (2811 Fieldstream Dr N, Wilson, NC 27896). Visitation was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 6:45 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, January 20th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Evergreen Memorial Park.
