With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ellen Bass of Stantonsburg, North Carolina, who passed away on August 26, 2023 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Preston Bass; her son Gilbert Bass; her grandson Christopher Brooks Bass; her parents, Alton Brooks and Mary Jackson Eason; and her son-in-law Lee Smith.
She is survived by: her children, Donna Bass Smith of Elm City and Brooks Bass (Cindy) of Wilson; and her sisters, Mary Jack Yelverton of Eureka and Jane Britt of Fayetteville.
