He was predeceased by: his parents, Dock E. Scott and Glenna Fraley Scott; his wife Novella Carver Scott; and his siblings, Goldie Simmons and Robert Scott.
He is survived by: his daughter Linda Withers; his siblings, Pearley Lee (Barney), Sadie Pence, Coy Scott, Jesse Scott, Frances Scott and Jack Scott (Tracy); his grandson Derek Haymore; and his close friend Phyllis Smith.
