He was predeceased by: his parents, William Otho Smith Sr. and Carrie Belk Smith; his wife Sybil Smith; and his grandson Rodney Williams. He is survived by: his daughter Sybil Burchfield (Dock) of Lincolnton; his niece Robin Price of Gastonia; and his great grandchildren, Levi, Emily and Jessica.
