It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Timothy Abernathy (Stanley, North Carolina), born in Gaston, North Carolina, who passed away on April 8, 2020, at the age of 66, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Miles Eugene Abernathy and Allie Sue Heafner Abernathy; his wife Nancy Devine Abernathy; his daughters, Kristy Abernathy Mize (Malcolm) of Stanley and Heather Abernathy Wyatt (Ronn) of Gaffney; his grandchildren, Micah, Caleb Mize and Hunter Wyatt; and his sister Wanda Abernathy Banks (Talmadge) of Stanley.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Gaston Hospice at 258 E. Garrison Blvd., Gastonia.
