She was predeceased by: her parents, Leo Medlin and Marjorie Ballard Medlin; her husband Eddie Dean Ward; and her son Matthew Warren Ward. She is survived by: her sons, Christopher Scott Medlin (Kayla) and Timothy Edward Ward; her siblings, Elizabeth Ann Medlin and Gene Edward Medlin (Judy); her grandchildren, Austin and Megan; her nieces, Angie Medlin and Sharon Turney; her nephew Bryan Medlin; her great-nieces and great-nephews, Brittany Turney, Jessica Turney, MattLee Medlin and Jordan Medlin; and her pets, Macy and Lucky.
