She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph M. Helms and Chattie Snyder Helms; her daughter Tonya Jean Lingle; her husband Ned L. Poarch; her siblings, Edward, James (Jimmy), Dorothy Wilson (Dot), Mary Ferrell (Josie) and Elizabeth Rion (Lib); and her niece Crystal Winchester.
She is survived by: her stepdaughter Pamela Walker; her stepgrandson Scott Walker (Marsha); her stepgreat-grandchildren, Bailey and Blake; her nieces and nephews, Teresa Buchanan (Buck), Lisa Maulden (Todd), Lynn Stephens, Marjorie Hinson (Mark), Sarah Meade (Fred), Eddie Wilson, Mike Wilson and Joseph Helms (Jennifer); and her friend Frank Agee.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Hospice & Palliative Care Charlotte Region in honor of Ned and Sherrill Poarch.
