She was predeceased by: her parents, Annie Mae Crowe and William Grady Crowe (Dolly); and her siblings, Buford Crowe, Nellie Melton, Emma Irene Black and Sara Revonda Carswell.
She is survived by: her children, Charlotte Yuvonda Simmons, James Michael Simmons (Jodi) and David Garrison Simmons (Jill); her grandchildren, Niki Stone, Amy Stone (Jonathan), Laura Stone, Mary Call, Jennifer Stone (Clay), Danielle Tucker (Jeffrey), James Michael Simmons II (Shannon) and Holly LeAnn Simmons; her great grandchildren, Tyr Stone, Lor Call (Zane), Lillian Call, Lydia Call and Jasper Tucker; and also, Thomas Earl Deviney (Shirley), Mary Ann Blackwell, Bobby Dean Crowe (Diane), Nina Mae Gettys (Maynard) and David Clyde Melton.
A funeral service was held on Sunday, March 23rd 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Charlotte Sharon Seventh Day Adventist Church (920 N Sharon Amity Rd, Charlotte, NC 28211).
In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the Sharon SDA Church.
