He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Jesse W. Franklin and Mary Elizabeth McAlister Franklin; his wife Cathy; his sons, Shannon Franklin (Catelyn) and Chad Franklin (Candace); his grandchildren, Jameson and Naomi Franklin; and his siblings, Tony Franklin, Phyllis Cherry and Sherry Allen (Tony).
