He was predeceased by: his father Lloyd Benjamin Dickson; and his siblings, Ben, Doris and Joyce. He is survived by: his siblings, John (Caroline), Ruth and Vera; and his son Robert (Teresa). He is also survived by six grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; many nieces and nephews.
