He is survived by: his wife Freida Helmrich; his siblings, Thomas Helmrich (Marlene) of Blaine, MN and Annie Gorman Chesler (David) of Stamford, CT; his siblings-in-law, Patricia Ann Sanders (Ralph) of Raleigh, NC and Walden Palmer, Jr. of Stanley, NC; and his nephews, Jeffrey David Sanders (Terra) of Stanley, NC, Benjamin Lee Sanders (Lisa) of Raleigh, NC, Travis Wayne Sanders (Amanda) of Raleigh, NC, Justin Palmer Lisle of Stanley, NC and Jonathan Bradley Lisle of Charleston, SC..
A graveside service was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Hollybrook Cemetery of Lincolnton, NC.
