He was predeceased by: his parents, Malvin Armstrong and Sue Armstrong (Swangim); his adoptive parents, Clyde Armstrong and Mae Armstrong; and his siblings, Louis Armstrong, Nancy Barnette, Doris Elliot, Jeanette Hilton, Reid Armstrong, Joyce Stephenson and Larry Armstrong. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
