She was predeceased by: her parents, Dollie Redd and Minerva Redd; her husband Buren McSwain; and her siblings, Earline Wood and Garvis Redd.
She is survived by: her children, Lydia Snodgrass (David) of Stanley, June Abernathy of Dallas, Mark McSwain (Angie) of Mount Holly and Philip McSwain (Carrie) of Lincolnton; and her brother Cecil Redd of Vaucluse, SC.
