It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Louise Harkey of Stanley, North Carolina, born in Gaston, North Carolina, who passed away on January 15, 2023, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lewis Stewart and Lula Bryson Stewart; her husband Freddie Harkey; her brothers, William Stewart and Clarence Stewart; and her close friend Clarence Rick.

She is survived by: her sister-in-law Margaret Stewart. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be sent to Holy Angels, or to First Baptist Church Mount Holly.
