She was predeceased by: her parents, John Beatty Smith Sr. and Bertha Pruitt Smith; her husbands, Frank McClure and Paul T. Mauney; and her siblings, Shirley Rathers and John B. Smith, Jr..
She is survived by: her daughters, Brenda Sue McClure of Stanley and Aileene M. McNeil (James) of Gastonia; her stepdaughter Kay Bradshaw (Max) of Virginia Beach; her brother Graham A Smith of Stanley; her granddaughters, Sonya Ward (Ben) and Carrie Stroup (Matt); and her stepgrandchildren, Allison Rhinehart Michelle Bagley (Mike) and Michael Bradshaw (Angela). She is also survived by numerous great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
