With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lydia Mahrle of Stanley, North Carolina, born in Brookfield, Illinois, who passed away on August 26, 2020 at the age of 96. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Lydia Mahrle to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Schoun and Mary Schoun (Bazant). She is survived by: her husband Alden Mahrle; her grandchildren, Nicole Nelson (Matt), Derick Mahrle, Darrell Mahrle (Amanda), Jillian Henson, Austin Henson and Justin Henson; and her sisters, Ruth Kloosterhuis of Deland and Alice Cunningham of Scottsdale, Arizona.. She is also survived by two great-grandchildren.

Her most recent membership was at the Lincolnton Seventh-day Adventist Church, in Lincolnton, NC. and faithfully attended church every week until the COVID-19 pandemic Stay-at-Home orders were enacted.
