It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Kathryn Rayburn Mikeal of Stanley, North Carolina, born in Charlotte, North Carolina, who passed away on July 1, 2022, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Parks W. Rayburn and Ruth Bass Rayburn; her husband Scott T. Mikeal Jr.; and her siblings, Ernestine Russell, Margaret Rayburn, Pansy Rayburn and Wayne Tyronne Rayburn.
She is survived by: her sisters, Betty Jean Cummings and Barbara Duncan; her daughters, Debbie Mikeal Smith (Rick) and Sandra Hudson (Joe); her grandchildren, Summer Thornton (Willie), Chére Raye (Travis), Chanon Smith (Kelly) and Angie Mills (Jason); and her great grandchildren, Hope, Hannah, Cameron, Brinley, Kennedy, Madison and Maggie.
