He was predeceased by: his spouse Mary Randolph McGinnis; and his siblings, Reid McGinnis, Arthur McGinnis, Katherine Lewis of Stanley and Faye Bean of Hickory.
He is survived by: his siblings, Ruby Fisher (Roger) and Gary McGinnis (Terry); his sister-in-law Brenda McGinnis of Stanley; his daughters, Janet Buff of New Bern, Jane Bumgarner of Stanley and Lori McGinnis of Greensboro; his sons-in-law, Joe Buff and Dale Bumgarner; his grandchildren, Joseph Buff (Amber) of Raleigh, David Buff (Mallory) of Ipswich, MA, Jarrett Bumgarner (Kaitlin) of Concord and Anna Bumgarner of Alexandria, VA.; and his great grandchildren, Elliott Bumgarner, Arianna Buff, Anders Buff, Connor Buff and Brayden Buff.
