She was predeceased by: her parents, John Cummins and Kathryn Cummins. She is survived by: her husband Stanley; her children, Tracy Pruitt (Johnny) of Mebane, Gregory Kopczynski (Eiko) of Honolulu, HI, Dean Kopczynski (Kristine) of Fairport, NY, Casey Kopczynski (Jenny) of Chapel Hill, Dale Kopczynski of Cary and Todd Kopczynski (Barbara) of Charlotte; her siblings, Patty Stember, Barbara Vagedes, David and Michael Cummins; and her family Church. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, tax deductible donations may be made to the Jane Kopczynski CDC Fund, a fund established in 2021 to honor Jane's contributions to UNC dentistry.
