He is survived by: his former wife Gloria Skiver Flanders of Auburn, NY; his children, John Flanders of Fayetteville, Rick Flanders of Fayetteville, NC, Laura Sullivan of Auburn, NY, Glen Flanders (Jessica) of Syracuse, NY and Jason Flanders (James Caito) of Auburn, NY; his grandchildren, Justin, Elizabeth Flanders of Fayetteville, NC and Jane Sullivan of Auburn, NY; his sister Elaine Chappell of Kingsport, TN; his stepdaughter Tonja McClanahan (Jeff) of Newton, NC; his stepgrandchildren, Talya Carver (Devon) of Stanley, NC and Maya McClanahan of Newton, NC; his stepson Mac McClanahan (Suzanne) of Huntersville; and his great grandchildren, Linkin Carver, Peyton Carver of Stanley, NC and Brenlee McClanahan.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the McLean Funeral Directors of Belmont (515 N Central Ave, Belmont, NC 28012). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 at 10:00 AM at the McLean Funeral Directors - Bumgardner Chapel (515 N Central Ave, Belmont, NC 28012).
