She was predeceased by: her parents, Gaither Banks and Pauline Banks; her husband Stanley Pate; her grandchildren, Jason Lemar and Bridgette Broadstreet; and her siblings, Wanda Edwards, Shirley Gosnell, Ava Lee Spangler, Larry Banks and Donald Banks.
She is survived by: her daughter Sharon Pate Simmons (Billy); her stepgranddaughter Lorie Thompson (Chris); her sister Gail Gray (George); and her siblings-in-law, Ann Banks and Harley Gosnell. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Due to Covid 19, there will be a private family service at the gravesite in Bee Log, NC.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Century Park Baptist Church, 1051 Salisbury St, Kernersville, NC 27284 or a Food Bank of donor's choice.
