He was predeceased by: his parents, Clint Shinn and Margaret Ellen Shinn Brown; his wife Shannon Denise Young Shinn; and his siblings, Charlie Shinn and Marvene Whitesides.
He is survived by: his children, David Shinn (Renee), Margaret Gabriel (Richard) and Trish Shinn; his siblings, William Shinn (Cindy), Kathy Phiefer and Renee Brown; and his grandchildren, Jeremy Gabriel, Alicia Watts, Correy Hammond, Travis Hammond, Taylor Daughtrey, Teri Shinn, Mekenzie Shinn and Josh Miller. He is also survived by 19 great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandson.
