He is survived by: his wife Ada Wheeler Stapleton; his daughters, Elaine Stapleton, Angela McCarty and Michelle Stapleton; and his stepchildren, Gina, Monica, Lorrie and David. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
