It is with great sadness that we announce the death of George Stapleton of Stanley, North Carolina, born in Jacksonville, Florida, who passed away on September 12, 2021, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, George Stapleton and Myrtle Eson Stapleton; and his sisters, Gloria and Barbara. He is survived by: his wife Ada Wheeler Stapleton; his daughters, Elaine Stapleton, Angela McCarty and Michelle Stapleton; and his stepchildren, Gina, Monica, Lorrie and David. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
