With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Floyd Thomas Henderson of Stanley, North Carolina, who passed away on February 14, 2022 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, B. Floyd Henderson and Ruth Henderson; and his sisters, Joyce Summey (Troy) of Roswell, GA and Frances Newell of Clemson, SC.. He is survived by: his wife Margaret Sue Cope; his children, Nancy Cozart (Art) of Stanley, NC, Susan Kinsey (Nick) of Raleigh, NC, Patricia Stamey (Mark) of Anderson, SC and Tom Henderson (Candice) of Kernersville, NC.; his grandchildren, Shannon Duckworth (Brian), Kristen Cozart, Rachel Kinsey, Cameron Cozart, Matthew Stamey, Samuel Kinsey, Olivia Henderson and Gabe Henderson; and his great grandchildren, Eira Yoder and Declan Duckworth. He is also survived by four children, eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to First United Methodist Church "Common Ground Upkeep Fund" or to Stanley Total Living Center "Employee Benevolence Fund".
