It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Ellis Brotherton of Stanley, North Carolina, who passed away on June 27, 2020, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Yates Hoyle Brotherton and Vera McCall Proctor Brotherton; and his sister Gloria Lineberger. He is survived by: his wife Linda Helton Brotherton; his children, Eric Brotherton (Marianne) and Wendy Stockman (Wendy Coleman); and his grandchildren, Sierra Martin (Adam), Colby Brotherton, Carson Brotherton and Riley Stockman.
