He is survived by: his wife Dixie Lee Ervin Bittle; his brothers, Lloyd Bittle (Sheila) of Landis, Ray Bittle (Maxine) of Kannapolis and Junior Bittle (Linda) of Kannapolis; and his children, Crystal Kelly (Wesley) of Denver, Sharon Potter (Tom) of Lowell, Bobby Ray Bittle (Megan) of Lowell and Fred R. Bittle of Stanley. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
