It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Doris Benfield (Stanley, North Carolina), born in Kings Mountain, North Carolina, who passed away on May 11, 2019, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Everette Davis and Elizabeth Davis; and her sister Betty Davis Conrad. She is survived by: her husband Vinson Benfield; her children, Jim Benfield, Karen Cauthen and David Benfield; her grandchildren, Travis Benfield, Meghan Benfield, Nathan Benfield, Josh Benfield and Cody Cauthen; her great grandchildren, John Paul and Claire Benfield; and her brother Bobby Davis.
