We are sad to announce that on July 10, 2023 we had to say goodbye to Dawn Lynette Ballard of Stanley, North Carolina, born in Gaston, North Carolina. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Max William Ballard and Helena Ruth Homesley; and her grandparents, Ralph, Edith Ballard and Ruth Homesley.

She is survived by: her son Laythan Cole Ballard; her sister Michelle Ballard Smith (Jody); her nephews, Casey Smith (Kelly) and Dustin Smith (Erica); her great-nieces, Jaylia Hope Smith and Sofia Madison Smith; her brother Richard Cook (Noel); her nephew Eli Cook; her aunts, Shirley Watts (Steve) and Brenda Foriska (Danny); and her uncle Bobby Homesley (Janet).
