It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Cora Green (Stanley, North Carolina), who passed away on October 4, 2019, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John B. Mathis and Annie McGaha Mathis; her husband Alvin Green; her children, Margaret Hicks, Robert Green and Junior Alvin Green; and her sister Clarsie M. Morris.
She is survived by: her children, Jane Freeman (Jerry) of Belmont, Marie Queen of Stanley, Jean Calhoun of Stanley, Veronica Etters (Michael) of Dallas, Reggie Green (Deborah) of Shelby and Arthur Green (Cindy) of Gastonia; and her siblings, John Mathis of Whittier, NC, Tommy Mathis of Dahlonega, GA. and Dorothy Mathis of Gastonia, N. C. She is also survived by Thirteen grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren, and six great great-grandchildren.
