He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parent Hallie Mayfield; his wife Nina Mayfield; his daughter Denise Burgess; his grandparents, Elbert and Fanny Mayfield; his children, Patricia Goshorn, Tammy Laub (Kenneth), Lora Jones (Mike) and Timothy Mayfield; and his half-brothers, Joseph, Larry and Gene Young. He was also cherished by eight grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.
