It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley Jean Hathcock of Stanfield, North Carolina, who passed away on December 16, 2021, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Edgar Cato and Edna Mae Faulkenbury Cato; her stepfather Lemuel Smith; and her siblings, Gail Myers of Gastonia, NC and Wayne Cato of Stanfield, NC..
She is survived by: her husband Jimmy Lewis Hathcock of Stanfield, NC; her sons, Avery Todd Hathcock (Lisa) and Marty Allen Hathcock; her granddaughters, Lindsay Hathcock and Kendall Hathcock; and her great grandchild Aubrey Scott.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Stanly County or Philadelphia Baptist Church.
