It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Phillip Michael Borders of Stanfield, North Carolina, born in Charlotte, North Carolina, who passed away on April 16, 2022, at the age of 53, leaving to mourn family and friends. He is survived by: his fiancée Jill Lawson of Stanfield; his son Michael David Borders of Stanfield; his parents, Jerry Lee and Jean Marie Borders of Charlotte; and his brothers, Jeff Borders of Monroe, Brody Lawson of Knoxville, TN, Walter and Pat Bennett of Charlotte.

Last time we saw him was at Dean's memorial service 10/03/20. It was so good to see him & that huge smile he always had on his sweet face. He so loved Michael & his family. Phil was a good egg.
