We are sad to announce that on June 29, 2023, at the age of 88, John David Yow Sr. of Stanfield, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, John Hampton Yow and Dora Estelle Furr Yow; his wife Patricia Ann Beach Yow; and his siblings, Hoyle Yow, Barbara Yow Drye, Faye Yow Little Morton and Peggy Jean Yow Fisher.

He is survived by: his children, Coot Yow (Wanda) of Stanfield, Lori Ferguson (Ricky) of Stanfield and Shelley "Nookey" Osborne (Brian) of Locust; his brother Charlie Yow of Stanfield; his grandchildren, Ricky Ferguson Jr. of Houston, Josh Ferguson (Jessica Blankenship) of New London, JoJo Ferguson (Sara) of Stanfield, Jessica Medlin (Tyler) of Stanfield and Brandon Yow (Kathryn) of Stanfield; and his great grandchildren, Bentley Ferguson, Parker Medlin, Paisley Ferguson, Emmeline Yow, Payton Medlin, Annsley Ferguson, Neal Yow, Noah Yow and Brooks Blankenship.

In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Hospice of Stanly & The Uwharrie.
