He was predeceased by: his parent John Ray Thomas; and his brothers, William Thomas and Mack Thomas. He is survived by: his parent Ruth Leone Watson Thomas; his wife Grace Thomas; his children, Eric Thomas (Pam) of Locust and Carolyn Jennings (Wynn) of Anchorage; his stepson Darin Thomas of Stanfield; his brother Joe Thomas of Asheboro; his grandchildren, Elena Dalton and Derrick Thomas; and his great grandchild Ava Dalton.
