He was predeceased by: his parents, John Cato and Edna Faulkenbury Smith. He is survived by: his wife Patty Morgan Cato; his children, Lenny Murphy of Mt. Pleasant, NC and Kelly Cato Foster (John); his stepchildren, Donald Brooks, Jr. (Donna) of Locust, NC and Donna Brooks Meynardie (Scott) of Stanfield, NC; and his sister Jean Hathcock (Jim) of Stanfield, NC. He is also survived by two grandsons and two granddaughters and one great grandchildren.
